Data
Chikungunya virus infection exhibits highly varied epidemiological patterns depending on the region under consideration. Surveillance and prevention of the risk of chikungunya (and dengue) transmission in mainland France are situated within a global epidemiological context. In this regard, the epidemiological situation worldwide—as well as that in the French overseas territories—is of major interest due to the scale and frequency of trade in goods and the movement of people with mainland France.
