Santé publique France is France’s national public health agency. A public institution under the authority of the Minister of Health, formed through the merger of several public institutions and established by Ordinance 2016-246 of April 15, 2016, the agency works to promote public health. As a scientific, expert, and public health safety agency, its missions include:

  1. Epidemiological observation and surveillance of the population’s health status; 
  2. Monitoring health risks threatening the population; 
  3. Promoting health and reducing health risks; 
  4. Developing prevention and health education; 
  5. Preparation for and response to health threats, alerts, and crises; 
  6. Issuing public health alerts.

The agency is organized into 12 departments—some scientific, some cross-functional, and some providing operational support. 

The agency’s strategic priorities and work program, established by its Board of Directors, are organized into three areas: Strengthening the capacity for anticipation and rapid response to health threats; Measuring and assessing the extent of diseases and risk factors to guide their prevention and control; Strengthening the health impact of all public policies and the prevention and promotion of health.

Emergency and Crisis Management Directorate (DAC)

Responsibilities

Assist with administrative and budgetary tasks at a logistics hub located in Marolles (Marne 51).

Duties

The apprentice will be responsible for supporting the administrative and budgetary activities of a logistics hub:

  • Assisting with the management of quote requests, tracking services rendered, and invoices pending payment in coordination with the Finance Department and the Billing Department of Santé publique France,
  • Assisting with the tracking of disputes,
  • Participating in workshops regarding services rendered, followed by follow-up meetings, including drafting meeting minutes and tracking follow-up actions,
  • Assisting with the implementation of metrics and dashboards related to services rendered,
  • Participating in budget monitoring,
  • Participate in monitoring and improving processes,
  • Participation in drafting procedures, operating guidelines, and other documents.

During their apprenticeship, the apprentice will also participate in:

  • Weekly department meetings and quarterly DAC meetings,
  • They will follow the end-to-end management of healthcare products to gain and expand their knowledge, from the development of requirements (specifications) through to the receipt of products and the monitoring of contract execution, taking into account the regulatory challenges faced by a pharmaceutical company,
  • They will be trained in best practices for wholesale distribution, documentation, creating dashboards, drafting procedures and operating guidelines, and using the QALIAC software.
  • He or she may be asked to participate in inventory counts to deepen their understanding of the work environment and attend meetings with service providers and suppliers.
