Key Points

In Week 14 (March 30–April 5, 2026), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable among children and adults aged 15–74 compared to the previous week, but increased among those aged 75 and older (+11%, or +510 visits).

Among people aged 75 and older, an increase in activity was noted for most of the most common conditions, including respiratory conditions (bronchitis (+23%, or +74 visits), upper respiratory tract conditions (+20%, or +54 visits), asthma attacks (+32%, or +14 procedures)), procedures for urinary tract infections (+20%, or +41 procedures), heart failure (+24%, or +30 procedures), low back pain/sciatica (+19%, or +40 procedures), and falls (+17%, or +20 procedures).

In other age groups, there was an increase in procedures for:

  • conjunctivitis in all age groups (+16%, or 204 cases), at a level comparable to previous years,

  • low back pain/sciatica among 15- to 74-year-olds (+11%, or 260 cases),

  • gastroenteritis among those aged 15–74 (+6%, or 191 more cases) and vomiting among children under 2 years of age (+8%, or 17 more cases),

  • anxiety and depression, primarily among adults aged 15–44 (+9%, or 102 additional cases), at levels higher than in previous years,

  • chickenpox among children under 2 years of age (+15%, or +19 cases) and adults aged 15–74 (+67%, or +16 cases),

  • allergies in children under 2 years of age (+47%, or 27 deaths),

  • viral syndrome among 2- to 14-year-olds (+11%, or +34 cases).

Note: The analyses are based on 43 out of 60 associations that submitted data for the entire week 14. The trends therefore remain to be confirmed once the data is consolidated.
