Etienne Pot Appointed Interim Director General of Santé publique France
By ministerial order dated August 11, 2026, Etienne Pot was appointed acting director general of Santé publique France. He officially assumed his duties on August 17, 2026.

Since November 2023, Étienne Pot has served as the Interministerial Delegate for the National Strategy on Neurodevelopmental Disorders (autism, dys, ADHD, TDI), where he led its implementation by incorporating the expertise of service users, professionals, and scientists.
Etienne Pot began his career as an addiction specialist at the CSAPA (Center for Addiction Treatment, Support, and Prevention) at Lariboisière-Fernand Widal Hospital (2015–2016), then practiced at the Montevideo Clinic from 2017 to 2019, where he also chaired the Medical Board (CME).
From 2016 to 2018, he provided care for people with autism or intellectual developmental disabilities as a physician on the executive board of the “Les amis de l’atelier” Foundation.
He joined the John Bost Foundation in 2019, where he held the positions of physician and then medical director until 2023. This foundation manages 40 facilities in the Île-de-France region dedicated to neurodevelopmental disorders, mental disabilities, and multiple disabilities.
Concurrently, he served as a scientific advisor to the High Council for the Future of Health Insurance (HCAAM) at France Stratégie (2016–2023) on issues related to prevention, health promotion, and human resources in healthcare. He also served as an expert on the Social and Medico-Social Commission of the High Authority for Health from 2018 to 2023.
In 2019, Etienne Pot founded Epcare, a company specializing in auditing and best practices for the health and medical-social sectors.
