Mental Health. Monthly Update, September 2022.

Key Points

  • In emergency departments: indicators were stable or declining across all age groups, with the exception of visits for alcohol intoxication among 18- to 24-year-olds, which rose slightly. Although stable or declining, the levels observed for suicidal ideation remained higher than in previous years among those aged 18 and older, as did visits for suicide attempts among 15- to 24-year-olds and mood disorders among 18- to 24-year-olds.

  • In the SOS Médecins network: there was an increase in cases of anxiety across all age groups and, to a lesser extent, in cases of depression among those aged 18–24 and 65 and older. The observed levels were comparable to those of previous years, with the exception of cases of depressive states, which were higher in S33.
