Key Points

  • Nationally, based on INSEE data, the number of deaths in weeks 10 and 11 returned to within the usual range of fluctuation for all age groups and, since Week 8, for people aged 15–64 and those over 85. However, the number of deaths remained at the upper limit of the threshold for those aged 65–84 through Week 10.

  • The number of electronically certified deaths stabilized in week 12.

  • An excess of deaths was observed in 3 metropolitan areas in Week 09, 3 areas in Week 10, and 2 areas in Week 11 (unconsolidated figures).
