Centre-Val-de-Loire Public Health Bulletin. April 2018.

Summary

  • Incidence rates for DTP-pertussis-Hib are declining in all departments for which data were available*, except Indre-et-Loire.

  • Coverage rates for hepatitis B and pneumococcal vaccines are increasing in all departments for which data were available*, except Indre.

  • Coverage rates for MMR are rising in all departments for which data were available*, but remain insufficient.

  • Coverage rates for meningococcal C and HPV are rising in all departments, but remain insufficient.

  • Vaccination coverage levels vary across the Centre-Val de Loire region depending on the department and vaccine type. Indre-et-Loire stands out as a top performer, as vaccination coverage has increased there for all serotypes. Vaccination coverage in this department exceeds the national average for all serotypes. In contrast, Indre emerges as a vulnerable department. Vaccination coverage in this department is below the national average for most serotypes.

*For the Loiret, CV data were available only for meningococcal C and HPV. Consequently, the regional CV could be calculated only for these valences.
