  • A heat wave affected the region from July 5 to 18, 2026: first the Drôme and Ardèche departments, then all departments starting on July 13. Most were classified under an orange heat wave alert, except for Allier, which was upgraded to a red heat wave alert from July 12 to 14.
  • Since July 5, the values of the iCanicule composite health indicator (which includes cases of hyperthermia, dehydration, and hyponatremia) have exceeded those observed during the May heat wave but have remained below those observed during the June heat wave.
