Special: Europe Against Cancer.

Presentation on a survey conducted by Eos Gallup Europe (Brussels) in 12 countries of the European Community. Nationally representative samples of 1,000 women aged 18 and older, focusing on screening and early detection of female cancers, as well as two ongoing initiatives: "colon cancer" (Oise) and "first Pap smear" (Ile-de-France). Statistics on gynecology, mammography, and cancer prevention show that changes in medical practices related to prevention are inextricably linked to national cultures and demonstrate that more sustained information for women and the medical community should improve the effectiveness of screening.
