Promoting the health of 16- to 25-year-olds: the role of local missions.

Local missions—486 of them in France—are tasked with supporting young people in their transition into the workforce. Taking their health into account and providing support to promote their well-being are essential. A national charter sets out several objectives to improve the situation: increased access to healthcare and social security coverage, welcoming and listening to young people experiencing psychological distress, and ensuring access to mental health care when necessary. An overview of the current situation, recent progress, and the challenges encountered.
