Health of the Travelling Community: Organizations Take Action.

"Traveling people," who number 400,000 in France, remain excluded from preventive care and healthcare services. Their life expectancy is 15 years lower than the national average. Fnasat is developing initiatives to improve access to preventive care and treatment for this population. In Rouen, community outreach efforts have helped improve vaccination coverage among the Traveler community; to achieve these results, healthcare professionals themselves had to change the often-negative perceptions they held of these populations.
