Health Promotion in Schools: From Theory to Practice.

How can a comprehensive health strategy be implemented in a school? Scientific studies help identify the theoretical frameworks and conditions necessary to achieve this goal. Essential components include "cross-sectoral" collaboration involving teachers, non-teaching staff, parents, and students; training for professionals; and institutional support. A comprehensive health promotion strategy is based on the three-pronged approach of “education, prevention, and protection,” well-described in scientific models, which allows any concrete program to be embedded within a clear and uncontested framework.
