In health promotion, the link between research and training is fundamental.

"In France, there are few training programs in health promotion, and the needs of professionals are not being met," notes Éric Breton, holder of the brand-new Chair in Health Promotion, established at the School of Advanced Studies in Public Health in September 2010 with the collaboration and funding of INPES. This expert emphasizes the imperative of integrating research and training—that is, fieldwork, surveys, and knowledge—to support the development of health promotion.
