General Principles of Oral Health Prevention.

The first twelve years of life are the period during which children’s and future adults’ oral health is established. While the situation has generally improved for the population as a whole over the past few decades, significant inequalities remain and pose a major public health challenge. Prevention efforts must be organized at the local level, as close as possible to the communities, based on their needs. They must involve all professionals and community partners.
