Fort-de-France University Hospital: A Burn Prevention Program.

Since 2002, the burn center at the Fort-de-France University Hospital has implemented a burn prevention program focused on children. An epidemiological study assessed the current situation, after which the general public, policymakers, and healthcare professionals were made aware of this risk. An evaluation of this program suggests that it has been effective, as the number of patients treated for burns has decreased by 34% over the past four years.
