Enable students to take greater responsibility for themselves, including when it comes to their health.

Since 2008, six French regions have been piloting a new initiative aimed at promoting student health in elementary schools, titled "Learning to Live Together Better." One hundred and fifteen schools are participating, involving six hundred and fifty teachers and thirteen thousand students. An initial assessment shows that this program helps improve the school climate in the participating schools and that children are developing interpersonal and self-reliance skills. Interview with Professor Didier Jourdan, who coordinates this program at the national level alongside Jeanine Pommier.
