Aging: Is it a family matter?

Following an overview of demographic trends among this age group (60 and older) in France—particularly by department—and the resulting implications for health and social services, this report examines various aspects of the challenges faced by older adults and potential solutions: social perception, home care (health and social services), and intergenerational relationships. The particularly important aspects of the issue of nutrition (health, social interaction) are discussed. The report also presents the CNAV’s “Youth Insurance” program for the prevention of dependency.
