Key Points

  • In Week 29 (July 14–20, 2025), the number of visits remained stable for both children and adults. The number of hospitalizations following emergency room visits decreased among children (-6%, or -438 hospitalizations) and remained stable among adults.

  • Compared to the previous week, the number of visits continued to rise across all age groups for insect bites (+14%, or +249 visits) and allergies (+7%, or +214 visits), as well as among adults for asthma attacks (+13%, or +145 visits) and conjunctivitis (+23%, or 133 visits). In contrast, the number of visits for hyperthermia/heatstroke is down across all age groups.

  • There was also an increase in visits for suspected COVID-19 across all age groups (+11%, or +55 visits).

  • Furthermore, visits for suicidal acts increased among children (+16%, or +18 visits), remaining comparable to those observed in previous years, and among adults (+9%, or +131 visits), at a higher level than in previous years.

  • Finally, there was an increase among children for urinary tract infections in those under 2 years of age (+9%, or +24 visits), for skin/subcutaneous infections in those aged 2–14 (+25%, or +235 visits), and for chickenpox in those aged 15–74 (+40%, or +13 visits).
