Mental Health Syndromic Surveillance Bulletin, July 4, 2022

Key Points

In Week 26 of 2022, across both networks, most indicators were stable or declining, at levels comparable to or even lower than those of previous years.

Among children, there was a marked decline in emergency department visits for suicidal behavior and mood disorders, which is typical starting at the beginning of summer vacation. Visits for suicidal behavior thus returned, in week 26, to levels comparable to those of previous years, unlike visits for mood disorders, which remain at a high level.
