Key Points

COVID-19

  • In S43, viral circulation continues to decline. The number of active conventional hospitalizations is decreasing, while the number in intensive care remains stable.

Chikungunya, dengue, Zika

  • One episode of local dengue transmission was confirmed in week 40.

Bronchiolitis

  • Epidemic phase.

  • SOS Médecins - 19 consultations for bronchiolitis were conducted in Week 43, accounting for 13.6% of all consultations for children under 2 years of age, an increase compared to Week 42 (11.0%).

  • Emergency departments - 19 visits for bronchiolitis were recorded in emergency departments in week 43, representing 20.6% of all consultations for children under 2 years of age, a very sharp increase compared to week 42 (5 visits). In addition, 5 hospitalizations for bronchiolitis were recorded following an emergency department visit among children under 2 years of age in Week 43 (vs. 2 the previous week).

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Emergency departments: low activity.
