COVID-19
In S15, viral circulation appears to be stabilizing at a high level.
Regional incidence and testing rates are decreasing at a similar rate (in S15, 1,565 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a decrease of 14%, and 5,060 people tested per 100,000 inhabitants, a decrease of 13%). The positivity rate is stable, or even very slightly decreasing (30.9%, a change of -0.4 percentage points).
The number of active conventional hospitalizations is increasing (114 hospitalizations as of April 17 vs. 96 as of April 10). In intensive care, the number of active cases is stable (8 hospitalizations on April 17, as on April 10).
Flu
Fifth week of the epidemic.
Emergency departments — Fifty visits related to flu-like illness were recorded in emergency departments in Week 15, representing 2.6% of total emergency department visits, down from the previous week (3.3%). Six hospitalizations were recorded in Week 15, compared to 10 the previous week.
SOS Médecins — One hundred and fifty consultations for influenza-like illness were conducted by SOS Médecins in Week 15, representing 8.9% of total activity. This proportion is down compared to the previous week.
Sentinelles Network — In Week 15, the incidence rate for influenza-like illnesses, not yet finalized, is 295 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [160; 430]). In Week 14, this rate was 306 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [187; 425]).
Surveillance of influenza/COVID-19 cases admitted to intensive care — Since January 2020, 152 severe cases of influenza/COVID-19 in intensive care have been reported, including 1 case of influenza, hospitalized at Bastia General Hospital in S02. No new cases have been reported since last week’s update.
Acute gastroenteritis
Low activity.
Emergency departments — Emergency department activity related to gastroenteritis in S15 has decreased compared to the previous week. It accounts for 1.6% of emergency department activity (vs. 2.7% the previous week).
SOS Médecins — Activity at the SOS Médecins association related to gastroenteritis in Week 15 increased compared to the previous week. It accounted for 2.4% of the association’s total activity (vs. 1.6% the previous week).
Réseau Sentinelles — In Week 15, the incidence rate is 51 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [5; 97]). In Week 14, this rate was 90 per 100,000 inhabitants (95% CI [38; 142]).
