Mortality:
The number of deaths recorded from civil registry data over the past few weeks is in line with expected levels for this time of year.
Emergency department visits by vulnerable populations
No significant changes in emergency department visits among those aged 75 and older. A slight increase in activity was observed among children under 1 year of age.
Reportable Diseases (MDO)
Note the persistently high incidence of IIM in the region, particularly in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, but only one new case in September.
Enterovirus
meningitis In Aquitaine, activity is low according to Oscour® and the virology department at Bordeaux University Hospital.
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE)
In Aquitaine, as in France, AGE activity in hospital emergency departments remains stable, with numbers comparable to previous years. A slight increase is observed according to SOS Médecins.
Bronchiolitis
In Aquitaine, as in France, bronchiolitis activity in S40 among children under 2 years of age is stable and in line with expected values for this period, according to SOS Médecins and the Oscour® network.
Vector-borne diseases
In Lot-et-Garonne, since the resumption of enhanced surveillance for chikungunya and dengue, two imported cases of dengue have been confirmed by the CNR for arboviruses.
Asthma
In Aquitaine, as in France, asthma activity continues to decline, with numbers comparable to previous years.
Mushroom poisoning (indicator not detailed in the body of the document)
Since July 1, 2013, in Aquitaine, 13 cases of poisoning linked to mushroom consumption have been observed, including 2 new cases reported in S40 (Oscour®).
School absenteeism: The school absenteeism rate remains stable in S40. No single health-related cause was predominantly reported.
