Mortality
During weeks 28 and 29, there was a slight increase in deaths (all ages and those over 75). The trend in week 30 remains within the range typically observed during this period; however, these data still need to be finalized.
Emergency room visits by vulnerable populations
No particular trends were noted regarding emergency room visits for children under 1 year of age and adults over 75 years of age.
Reportable Diseases (MDO)
Note the persistently high incidence of meningococcal IIM in the region, particularly in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
Chickenpox
: The number of cases reported to SOS Médecins for chickenpox remains low and below the alert threshold for two consecutive weeks, marking the end of the epidemic. Seasonal surveillance for chickenpox ends this week.
Acute Gastroenteritis (AGE) Both
nationally and regionally, the number of AGE-related visits to hospital emergency departments and private practices remains stable, in line with expected levels for this time of year.
Vector-borne diseases
In Lot-et-Garonne, since the resumption of enhanced surveillance for chikungunya and dengue, one imported case of dengue has been confirmed by the National Reference Center for Arboviruses.
Asthma and Allergies
Activity related to asthma and allergies is stable or even declining in Aquitaine, as it is in France.
Heat-related illnesses
In Aquitaine, all indicators for monitoring heat-related illnesses are stable or declining. However, values remain high following last week’s heat wave (July 31 and August 1).
Enterovirus

Jellyfish stings (indicator not detailed in the body of the document)
Jellyfish have been observed along the entire Aquitaine coast. A few cases of minor stings have been reported. The call for vigilance remains in effect.
