Mortality:
Mortality recorded based on vital statistics data for all ages, consistent with the expected number of deaths for this period.
Emergency room visits by vulnerable
populations: Stable number of visits among those under 1 year of age and those over 75 years of age, consistent with expected values. Note: No increase was observed in symptoms or conditions potentially linked to air pollution following episodes where information and recommendation thresholds and alert thresholds for particulate matter were exceeded in Aquitaine, particularly in Bordeaux, between March 12 and 16.
Reportable Diseases (MDO)
No specific situations to note since the beginning of March.
Virology and enterovirus
meningitis Circulation of seasonal respiratory viruses (Bordeaux University Hospital), particularly coronaviruses and influenza A; no cases of enterovirus meningitis (Oscour®, Bordeaux University Hospital).
Acute gastroenteritis (AGE) Low
activity according to Oscour® and still sustained according to SOS Médecins; nationally, indicators are slightly rising for those under 15 and stable or declining for other age groups; activity in hospital and pre-hospital emergency departments for AGE is generally lower than in the past two years.
Influenza and influenza-like illnesses
End of the influenza epidemic confirmed in mainland France.
Bronchiolitis
Activity for bronchiolitis is stable, below the epidemic threshold according to SOS Médecins and Oscour®; according to the AquiRespi network: 46 children treated on March 22–23.
Carbon monoxide poisoning
Since September 2013, 49 incidents reported with 108 people exposed and 76 transported to emergency departments (France: 965 incidents, 2,871 exposed, 25 deaths).
School Absenteeism Overall
absenteeism rate remains stable.
