In 2020, 155 cases of tuberculosis were reported in Normandy, and the age-standardized incidence rate was 4.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a decrease from the previous year.
The majority of active tuberculosis cases were men and adults aged 15 to 59.
Since 2017, the proportion of reported cases born abroad has been significant (51% in 2020).
Among the reported cases, 113 had pulmonary tuberculosis and 42 had exclusively extrapulmonary tuberculosis.
A heterogeneous distribution of tuberculosis cases is observed across the departments of Normandy: Seine-Maritime is the department with the highest number of active tuberculosis cases, while Orne is the least affected by tuberculosis.
Information on the treatment outcome of cases reported in 2018 was available for 82% of reported cases.
