COVID-19

In Week 25, the increase in SARS-CoV-2 circulation in Normandy continued, with the incidence rate (IR) rising by 52% to 593 per 100,000 inhabitants. This increase in the IR was observed across all departments and for all age groups. The testing rate also increased to 940 per 100,000 inhabitants (+32%), as did the positivity rate to 30.6% (+4 percentage points).

In pre-hospital care, the number of interventions by SOS Médecins associations as well as the number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 were on the rise.

The number of new hospital admissions across all departments was increasing, while it was decreasing in critical care units. The number of deaths was decreasing in hospitals while remaining stable in long-term care facilities
