COVID-19
In Week 21, the circulation of SARS-CoV-2 in Normandy continued to decline, with an adjusted incidence rate (IR) (accounting for the effect of the May 26 holiday) of 199 per 100,000 inhabitants (-21%) and a positivity rate of 17.8% (-0.8 percentage points).
This decline in the IR was observed across all departments in Normandy and for all age groups.
In the pre-hospital setting, activity in emergency departments for suspected COVID-19 and the number of interventions by SOS Médecins were decreasing.
The number of hospitalized patients was decreasing, including in critical care units. The number of deaths in hospitals was decreasing, while it remained stable at a very low level in long-term care facilities.
