In Week 26, the increase in SARS-CoV-2 circulation in Normandy continued, with the incidence rate (IR) rising by 51% to 901 per 100,000 inhabitants. This increase in the IR was observed across all departments and for all age groups. The testing rate also increased to 2,636 per 100,000 inhabitants (+36%), as did the positivity rate to 34.2% (+3.5 percentage points).
In pre-hospital care, the number of interventions by SOS Médecins was on the rise (no data available for emergency departments this week). The number of new hospital admissions was increasing across all departments and in critical care units. The number of deaths was rising in hospitals while remaining stable in long-term care facilities.
