COVID-19

In week 29, SARS-CoV-2 circulation had decreased again in the Normandy region.

  • The incidence rate had dropped sharply to 588 per 100,000 inhabitants (-40% compared to Week 28) but remained at a high level. The testing rate and positivity rate also decreased by 30% and 5.4 percentage points, respectively, but remained high. The decline in the incidence rate was observed in all Normandy departments and across all age groups.

  • In pre-hospital care, the number of calls handled by SOS Médecins and the number of emergency room visits were down. The number of new hospital admissions was down across all departments and slightly up in critical care units.

  • The number of deaths remained stable in hospitals as well as in long-term care facilities.
