In Week 28, SARS-CoV-2 circulation in Normandy was declining. The incidence rate was down but remained high, at 976 per 100,000 inhabitants (-12% compared to Week 27). The testing rate was also decreasing (-13%). The positivity rate was stable (+0.2 percentage points) but remained high. This decline in the incidence rate was observed in all departments of Normandy.
In pre-hospital care, the number of calls handled by SOS Médecins was decreasing, and the number of emergency room visits was stable.
The number of new hospital admissions was down across all departments and in critical care units. The number of deaths was rising in hospitals while it was falling in long-term care facilities.
