COVID-19

  • In Week 30, the spread of SARS-CoV-2 continued to slow in Normandy, although indicators remained at high levels.

  • The incidence rate had dropped sharply to 352 per 100,000 inhabitants (-40% compared to Week 29). The testing rate and positivity rate were also decreasing, by -24% and -7.0 percentage points, respectively. The decline in the incidence rate was observed in all departments and across all age groups.

  • In pre-hospital care, the number of procedures performed by SOS Médecins and the number of emergency room visits were down. The number of new hospital admissions was down across all departments and slightly lower in critical care units. The number of deaths was decreasing in hospitals and remained stable at a low level in long-term care facilities.
