COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Île-de-France Region as of May 7, 2020

Key indicators

The number of positive PCR tests decreased (-45%) in week 18 compared to week 17 in hospital laboratories and private laboratories (3Labos).
The number of positive PCR tests was 2,034 in hospital laboratories and 429 in private laboratories monitored during Week 18.
During Week 18, in private laboratories (3Labos), the positivity rate for PCR tests by department ranged from 3.3% in Yvelines to 9.2% in Seine-Saint-Denis. It was 6.4% for the Île-de-France region.
The positivity rates for both data sources fell below 10%:LABM (3 labos): 6.4% positive tests in week 18 (12.1% in week 17)Hospital laboratories: 9.7% positive tests in week 18 (15.1% in week 17)

SOS Médecins: slight decrease (-13%) in the rate of consultations for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 consultations: 648 in week 18 (776 in week 17)
Sentinelles Network: 95 (tele-)consultations for acute respiratory infection per 100,000 inhabitants in week 18 (85 in week 17), stable.

As of May 4, 2020, 45,658 cases (residents and staff) were reported in long-term care facilities (vs. 42,972 as of April 28) and 5,550 deaths were reported (residents: 5,271 as of April 28)
Of these, 36,175 cases (residents and staff) were reported in long-term care facilities as of May 4 (vs. 34,748 on April 28), and 5,416 deaths were reported among residents of long-term care facilities (vs. 5,144 on April 28)

Oscour® Network: decrease (-22%) in the rate of visits for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 visits: 849 in week 18 (1,083 in week 17)
Sentinel intensive care units: 70% of severe COVID-19 cases are under 65 years of age, and 77% of cases had at least one risk factor

Excess mortality across all causes and age groups has been observed for the sixth consecutive week at the regional level. Excess mortality was estimated at 123% in week 16 and 53% in week 17. The decline in excess mortality observed since week 15 is confirmed.
