Health Monitoring in the Hauts-de-France Region. Update as of August 11, 2022.

Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Hauts-de-France, as in other regions of mainland France, Week 31 saw a decline in epidemic activity, with an incidence rate (IR) that remains high, exceeding 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at the regional level and in most departments. The decline in incidence coincides with a decrease in testing due to summer vacations. While it remains high (22.5%), the positivity rate (PR) is also decreasing, reflecting the reduced community circulation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The improvement in the virological situation is observed across all age groups; however, the persistence of viral circulation at a high level calls for continued vigilance and the strengthening of immunity among the most vulnerable.
