COVID-19
The incidence rate decreased in week 28 of 2022 (887 cases per 100,000 people in week 28 of 2022 compared to 1,027 in week 27 of 2022).
This decrease applies to all age groups except those aged 80 and older, for whom the incidence is stabilizing.
The highest incidence rates are observed among those aged 20–29 and 30–39 (1,123 cases and 1,150 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively).
The positivity rate (32.1%) is rising in week 28 of 2022 among those aged 0–9 and those aged 80 and older, and remains stable in other age groups.
The testing rate is decreasing across all age groups.
Acute Gastroenteritis
SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for acute gastroenteritis (AGE), all ages, was 372 in week 28 of 2022. This represents a slight increase compared to the previous week (298 consultations). The share of activity was 5.6% and is up compared to last week.
Oscour®: The number of emergency department visits for acute gastroenteritis (AGI), across all age groups, rose slightly in week 28 of 2022 (292 visits compared to 269 in week 27 of 2022), accounting for 1% of emergency department activity. The proportion of hospitalizations for AGI among all hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is 0.8%.
Virology data: According to data from laboratories in Nancy, Reims, and Strasbourg, the circulation of enteric viruses is now low.
