COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Grand Est Region, September 9, 2021
Key Points
In the Grand Est region, the number of new cases continued to decline in week 35 of 2021 (6,362 compared to 7,016 in week 34 of 2021), as did the number of people tested (288,357 in week 35 of 2021 compared to 328,347 in week 34 of 2021). The incidence rate also fell to 115.4 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and remains above the threshold for active virus circulation (set at 50 per 100,000 inhabitants). The positivity rate, meanwhile, increased very slightly (2.2% compared to 2.1% in week 34 of 2021).
