COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Grand Est Region, October 7, 2021

Key Points

In the Grand Est region, the number of new cases continued to decline in week 39 of 2021 (2,060 compared to 2,603 in week 38 of 2021), while the number of people tested remained stable (262,518 in week 38 compared to 269,824 in week 38 of 2021). The incidence rate has also fallen to 37.4 new cases per 100,000 residents and remains below the threshold for active virus circulation (set at 50 per 100,000 residents). The positivity rate has decreased slightly (0.8% compared to 1.0% in week 38 of 2021).
