COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Grand Est Region, July 15, 2021

In the Grand Est region, the number of new cases in week 27 of 2021 rose sharply, with 163,729 people tested in week 27 (compared to 142,820 in week 26). Consequently, the incidence rate rose to 24.5 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants and remains below the threshold for active virus circulation (set at 50 per 100,000 inhabitants). The positivity rate is also on the rise (0.8% compared to 0.5% in week 26 of 2021).
