Key Points

COVID-19

  • Increase in the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and positivity rate (PR). The regional (crude) IR rose from 215 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 36 to 350 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 37. IRs are rising in all four departments. Increase in hospitalizations in general and critical care, and in visits to hospital emergency rooms. Increase in calls to SOS Médecins.

Monkeypox

  • As of September 20, 2022, at 12:00 PM, 37 confirmed cases had been reported in the Brittany region.

Heat Wave

  • Brittany has remained under a green heat wave alert since August 14. The monitored indicators are similar to observations from previous years outside of heat wave periods. Seasonal monitoring ended on September 15. A review of the season will be conducted in the coming weeks.
