COVID-19
The epidemic continues to slow down. Decrease in the incidence rate and positivity rate calculated from PCR and antigen tests. The incidence rate fell from 69.7 per 100,000 in Week 21 to 53.4 per 100,000 in Week 22 (adjusted incidence rates: 81.7 per 100,000 in Week 21 and 53.4 per 100,000 in Week 22). The positivity rate fell from 2.8% in S21 to 2.1% in S22. These indicators are declining across all age groups and departments. The proportion of suspected Alpha (so-called British) variants decreased slightly to 77.0%, while that of Gamma (so-called Brazilian) or Beta (so-called South African) variants remained stable at 7.9%. Vaccination coverage reached 45.4% for a single dose.
Extreme heat, heat wave
France has been on green alert since the start of surveillance. In Brittany, an increase in emergency room indicators has been observed over the past two weeks.
Gastroenteritis
Activity is low, within seasonal averages. SOS Médecins indicators are down. The number of emergency room visits remains stable compared to the previous week.
