COVID-19

The epidemic continues to slow down. Decrease in the incidence rate and positivity rate calculated from PCR and antigen tests. The incidence rate fell from 93.7 per 100,000 in Week 20 to 69.7 per 100,000 residents in Week 21 (adjusted incidence rates: 93.8 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 20 and 81.6 per 1,000,000 in Week 21), and the positivity rate has dropped from 3.2% in Week 20 to 2.8% in Week 21. These indicators are declining across all age groups and departments, except in Finistère (where they are rising). The proportion of suspected cases of the so-called British variant decreased slightly to 81.4%, while that of the Brazilian or South African variants remained stable at 2.6%. Vaccination coverage reached 42.1% for a single dose.
