Key Points

COVID-19

Decrease in the incidence rate (IR), testing rate (TR), and positivity rate (PR). The regional (unadjusted) IR fell from 190 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 32 to 159 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 33. IRs are declining or stable in all four departments. Overall downward trend or stabilization of various indicators in community and hospital settings. Estimated vaccination coverage by place of residence reaches 83.1% for one dose and 82.3% for a full course.

Extreme heat, heat wave

Brittany has remained under a green heat wave alert since August 14. There has been a decrease in healthcare utilization for heat-related conditions this week, with activity within seasonal norms.

Acute gastroenteritis

Low activity. A general upward trend in indicators at SOS Médecins and in emergency departments compared to the previous week. An increase in activity among children under 5 in hospital emergency departments is also observed in S33.
