Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of October 1, 2021

Key Points

COVID-19

  • Regionally: The incidence rate continues to decline in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté for the sixth consecutive week. With an 18% decrease, the regional incidence rate has fallen below the threshold of 50 per 105 residents for the second week (38 per 105 residents) and remains below the national incidence rate (57 per 105 residents). The testing rate is stabilizing, and we are seeing a decline in the positivity rate for those under 45 and stabilization at low levels for those over 45. In the context of the start of the school year and the Health Pass, the positivity rate for those under 15 is declining (2.9% in Week 38 vs. 3.4% in Week 37). The number of new hospitalizations and new admissions to critical care is declining. The number of outbreaks reported by medical-social institutions (ESMS) is low.

  • At the departmental level: Departmental incidence rates range from 17.5 per 105 inhabitants (Nièvre) to 70.2 per 105 inhabitants (Jura). Two departments have incidence rates above 50 per 105 inhabitants: Doubs (50.6 per 105) and Jura (70.2 per 105).
