Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of November 4, 2021.
Key Points
COVID-19
At the regional level:
Incidence and positivity rates for Covid-19 are rising in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté: incidence rate of 44 per 105 residents (vs. 33 per 105 residents in S-1, a 34% increase) and positivity rate of 2% (vs. 1.3% in S-1, a 50% increase).
The testing rate continues to decline (2,242 vs. 2,519 in Week 1, a decrease of 11%), most likely due to the end of insurance coverage for tests that took effect on October 15 (Week 41).
The incidence rate among those aged 65 and older is rising slightly, as is the positivity rate.
The number of new hospitalizations is rising slightly, while the number of new admissions to critical care is down this week.
The number of outbreaks reported by medical-social institutions (ESMS) is low.
At the departmental level:
Departmental incidence rates range from 10.5 per 105 residents (Nièvre) to 92.7 per 105 residents (Jura).
Flu
Flu-related activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments in the region is currently low and stable, remaining in line with trends from the previous two seasons. No severe cases of flu have been reported by the 8 sentinel intensive care units.
Bronchiolitis
Indicators from SOS Médecins associations show a very sharp increase this week, exceeding the levels observed in the two previous seasons.
Emergency department activity continues to rise, with figures exceeding those of the two previous seasons during the same period.
Gastroenteritis
The percentage of gastroenteritis cases among diagnoses made by SOS Médecins has decreased slightly, as has the rate in hospital emergency departments.
