Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of June 25, 2021.

Key Points

COVID-19

Virological and hospital indicators continue to decline. Increased vigilance is being exercised regarding the L452R variant in the region, as several community transmission clusters linked to the Delta variant or suspected Delta variants have been reported nationwide. Health
restrictions are being gradually lifted. It remains essential to: maintain a high level of adherence to individual prevention measures, testing, and isolation of cases and contacts; remind everyone of their individual responsibility to adhere to these barrier measures and contact restrictions to keep the observed trend downward; encourage vaccination among priority groups who have not yet been vaccinated.

Mental Health (CoviPrev Study)

Life satisfaction in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is estimated at 80% in Wave 24, representing an increase since mid-March 2021 (Wave 22).
The prevalence of sleep problems has been trending downward since Wave 22 (with no obvious link to Lockdown 3).
The proportion of reported depressive and anxiety disorders decreased between waves 23 and 24. These proportions remain at a high level. The proportion of anxiety disorders was at the level observed in wave 20 (i.e., corresponding to the end of lockdown 2); in contrast, the proportion of depressive disorders was higher (16% in Wave 24 vs. 11% in Wave 20). In Wave 24, the prevalence of suicidal thoughts was 9%, relatively stable since Wave 21 (12%).
