COVID-19

Indicators remain at a high level.

  • Number of confirmed cases (based on SiDEP data for cases tested via RT-PCR and antigen tests)

    • Number of confirmed cases in Week 14: 8,485 (9,567 in Week 13); positivity rate of 9.7% (7.5% in Week 13); incidence rate of 304.9 per 100,000 inhabitants (343.8 in Week 13)

    • Variation in incidence rates by department, ranging from 230.3 per 100,000 in Haute-Saône to 497.4 per 100,000 in Doubs

    • Variation in positivity rates by department, ranging from 8.2% in Côte d’Or to 11.9% in Doubs.

  • Urban surveillance

    • SOS Médecins: 600 suspected COVID-19 cases per 10,000 medical procedures (Week 14, 602 in Week 13)

  • Hospital surveillance

    • Oscour® Network: 424 suspected COVID-19 cases per 10,000 visits (Week 14, 394 in Week 13)

    • SI VIC: the number of new hospitalizations (540 vs. 608 in S13) and new admissions to critical care units (99 vs. 107 in S13) remain high

    • Intensive care sentinel units: high proportion of men, but decreasing during the first half of 2021 (68% vs. 74%) 65% of patients were 65 years of age or older during the first half of 2021 (vs. 71% in the previous half); incidence of obesity on the rise (48% vs. 37% in the previous half-year)

  • Surveillance in nursing homes

    • Since March 1, 2020, 22,082 confirmed cases (including 14,622 among residents)

    • Stable number of deaths reported in long-term care facilities

  • Vaccination coverage among residents and staff in nursing homes/long-term care facilities

    • Vaccination coverage for residents is 91.7% for one dose and 68.6% for two doses

    • Vaccination coverage among staff is 54.1% for one dose and 31.9% for two doses

  • Mortality surveillance

    • Moderate but significant excess mortality (INSEE) in S13 at the regional level, particularly affecting those aged 65–84.

Bronchiolitis

Activity in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins clinics is stable but higher than in previous seasons during the same period.

Gastroenteritis

Activity at SOS Médecins associations and emergency departments is at moderate levels and is trending slightly downward in emergency departments.
