Dengue Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of December 24, 2020.
Key points
Martinique
Surveillance indicators show a continued slowdown in viral circulation in Martinique. The estimated weekly number of clinically suspected dengue cases still slightly exceeds epidemic thresholds, keeping Martinique in the epidemic phase.
Despite this lull in the epidemic, it is important to remain vigilant and continue implementing preventive measures to facilitate an early exit from the epidemic phase: destruction of larval breeding sites, personal protection with repellents, and the use of mosquito nets and electric swatters.
Martinique remains in Phase 4, Level 1 of the PSAGE* dengue alert system: confirmed epidemic.
