Guadeloupe
In Guadeloupe, the epidemiological situation regarding COVID-19 remains favorable both in terms of virological indicators and hospital admissions.
In week 37, with testing rates remaining stable, incidence and positivity rates decreased by 14% and 1.9 percentage points, respectively. The 30–39 age group recorded the highest incidence rate. The effective R over the seven-day rolling period from September 11 to 17, 2022, of 0.81 (95% CI [0.75–0.88]), remained significantly below 1 and continued to indicate a slowdown in SARS-CoV-2 transmission across the archipelago.
In hospitals, new admissions across all departments decreased, while emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 remained stable in Week 37. As of September 21, 2022, nine new hospital admissions across all departments were recorded, including two in critical care. Meanwhile, one death was reported in Week 37.
Saint Martin
In Saint Martin, all virological indicators were stable in week 37.
At the hospital, the situation was calm. No emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 and no new hospital admissions were recorded in SI-VIC in week 37.
Saint Barthélemy
In Saint-Barthélemy, new SARS-CoV-2 infections remained stable amid a decline in testing activity. However, the positivity rate increased by 2.6 percentage points in Week 37.
In hospitals, the situation remained calm in week 37. No emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 and no new hospital admissions were recorded in SI-VIC.
