Key Points

In Guadeloupe, the epidemiological situation has improved further. Since the start of the fourth wave, the incidence rate has fallen below the alert threshold for the first time, and the positivity rate remains low despite a slight increase in testing during week 42 of 2021. In hospitals, the number of new hospitalizations and emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 continued to decline. Excess mortality has not been observed across all age groups and causes of death since week 2021-38 (late September) (data currently being consolidated).
