COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, and Saint Barthélemy as of July 2, 2021

Guadeloupe

The incidence rate rose slightly during week 2021-25 but remained below the alert threshold. Other virological indicators (positive rate and testing rate) remained relatively stable, however. In hospitals, new admissions across all departments and the number of emergency room visits were also stable compared to week 2021-24. In the intensive care unit, three new admissions were recorded at the University Hospital. The R-value calculated from data reported in SI-DEP for samples collected from June 23, 2021, to June 29, 2021, was 1.00 [0.84–1.17]: not significantly different from 1.

Saint-Barthélemy

The virus continued to circulate slowly during week 2021-25. Epidemiological indicators remained at a low level. In hospitals, one new hospitalization was recorded during week 2021-25.

Saint Martin

In week 2021-25, virological surveillance indicators were decreasing despite increased testing. New hospital admissions and the number of emergency department visits for suspected COVID-19 remained stable.
