The Santé publique France Barometers: A Survey of Public Opinion and Habits to Guide Public Health Prevention and Information Policies

This is one of the largest national surveys, having covered more than 30 topics since 1992, such as smoking, nutrition, well-being, sleep, living conditions, and vaccination practices... This survey provides valuable information at both the national and regional levels. Conducted in the overseas departments and regions since 2014, this survey was carried out for the first time in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon in 2020.

Survey Process

The survey will begin on September 7, 2020, and run for two months. Nearly 1,000 people out of the 6,000 residents of this 242-square-kilometer territory are invited to participate in the survey.

Respondents are contacted by the Ipsos polling institute via randomly dialed telephone numbers (landlines or cell phones). They will be invited to complete a 30-minute questionnaire, designed in partnership with the Territorial Health Administration of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon.

To ensure that the data collected best reflects the opinions and habits of everyone living in this territory, it is very important that every selected person agrees to participate. All age groups and all living situations are included. All information collected will be fully anonymized.

Santé publique France would like to thank in advance all those contacted as part of this survey for their cooperation and the time they agree to devote to the surveyors. The data obtained will be invaluable, particularly for all professionals working in the field of prevention in this territory.

The initial results of this study will be released in 2021.
